I think I've done my small part in exposing the corruption that is on going in Canada and the U.S. In Canada, I can clearly see now that this is heading down a slippery slope that is supported by the two major political parties, the Conservatives under Harper, and the Liberals under Dion. Anyone that still thinks that Canada is some sort of bastion of hope and wholesomeness needs to wake up to the truth. Canada is not a sovereign nation. It is simply an outpost of the corporate power that reins and knows no national boundaries.
It's easy to blame the U.S. for our troubles, but we really need to look at ourselves. Our greed is what has propelled us to sacrifice our values for material gain. Now we can pretty much sit back as it becomes increasingly apparent where this road leads: loss of freedom, environmental degradation, destruction of community, and ultimately self destruction. There will prbably be a point where we finally get it and have an opportunity to begin anew with the lessons learned. But it is obvious to me that our addictive nature means we have a lot of pain to experience first before we even begin to think about making any real change.
My new blog will leave behind the attacks and pointing out what is wrong with the world. Instead it will focus on envisioning an alternative way to live that is more harmonious with the natural laws that govern our world. I will leave a link to the new blog here, once I determine what I want to call it.
Lastly, here is the article that inspired me to move on. I hope you catch that ray of light and hope that I did from reading it:

Good-Bye Liberals
Liblogs saw fit to remove me, after I wrote Cherniak an email letting him know I was a disenfranchised liberal and in response to a Tory blogger that found my site offensive and accused me of being anti-American, anti-semitic, and some other derogatory labels. So, I'm happy to see the liberals and tories can agree on something: that I shouldn't be in Liblogs. I guess that's an easy one since I mention the Cdn. Action party is the only political party with any balls. So, to hell with them, I'm on my way to being a card carrying member of the Cdn. Action party. As best I can see, Connie Fogel is the only leader I've seen that has the courage to make a real stand. Watching Dion waiting for Harper to make a mistake big enough that it will launch him to a majority was really pathetic. Just a final note: the only reason I became a liberal party member was to support David Orchard whom Dion stabbed in the back. If that's the way the Liberals treat their supporters, who needs them.
